My Hughes Autoformer report can be released this year.
And yes, you still have to manage load shedding with a SoftStart controller. It only reduces inrush current, not the running current.
I recall you were testing autoformers. Did you ever publish an article on it?
I recall you testing SoftStart. While SoftStart might enable us to run one 15,000 btu a/c on a "small" generator, a small generator probably can't run a 15,000 btu RV a/c if you also have an inverter drawing 8 AMPS. Not sure people understand the limitations.
