Everyone,
There appears to be a bit of confusion about how your email address ended up on this SubStack server with my RVelectricity newsletters. The answer is quite simple, you originally signed-up for my RVelectricity newsletter on RVtravel.com, or joined this newsletter after I started it a few weeks ago.
In either case, you’re welcome to stay for the reruns of the 1,000+ articles I’ve already published over the last 12 years on NoShockZone.org and RVtravel.com. And, of course, I’m working on important new content such as my study on eBike battery explosions.
However, if you feel that this daily newsletter is an intrusion in your email box, you are encouraged to opt-out and unsubscribe from receiving it by simply clicking the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of every newsletter. Or if you like, just send an email to jmichaelsokol@icloud.com with the subject - Unsubscribe - and I’ll take care of it immediately. And please accept my apologies for the intrusion in your email box.
Also, there’s a number of you who have regularly supported my RVelectricity articles on RVtravel.com with a monthly contribution to my “I Like Mike” campaign. While that monthly contribution doesn’t give you any extra content on RVtravel.com, it’s certainly appreciated since it helps defray my costs for test equipment, etc…
Yes, all my articles are still available on RVtravel.com, but this new writing platform is a great opportunity for me to republish everything I’ve already written in perhaps two or three years at a rate of one article per day. Yes, I write a lot of articles!
And I’ve tried to upgrade most of my “Like Mike” monetary contributors to a Paid Subscription on this SubStack Newsletter. But unfortunately there’s no automated process to do this, and many of your email addresses have been scrambled in the database for you own protection. So if you’ve made a contribution to my “Like Mike” campaign on RVtravel.com in the past year, please email jmichaelsokol@icloud.com with the subject - Upgrade - using the email you’re receiving this newsletter on, and I’ll upgrade you to a paid subscription right away. Currently there’s no difference in the content you’ll receive from an upgrade to a Paid Subscription. There will some additional access to advanced articles in the future for Paid subscribers, but my intent is to keep 99% of the content here free for everyone.
And note that I’m not going to continuously ask for funds like many newsletters do. While I certainly appreciate your monetary support, I’m really trying to distribute as many of my RV electrical theory and safety articles to as many RV owners as possible. I fund most of my writing with consulting work in my FunkWorks Lab. Yes, it’s a real place near Funkstown, MD.
Finally, be aware that nearly all my RVelectricity articles are still available to read on RVtravel.com. But you’ll need to navigate around a bit using the search function to find what you’re looking for. How ever you want to read my articles is fine with me, as long as you stay safe around electricity.
And a special thanks to RVtravel.com for hosting my articles over the last 12 years. This is just one additional outlet for my writing endeavors.
Let’s play safe out there - Mike Sokol
Mike, I just have to say "THANKS!" for your very useful R/V. electrical information!
Thanks for all the work you do. I appreciate it. Merry Christmas
