I bought a Surge Guard 44260. On the female “power out” socket, one set of blades is so tight that I can barely force a screwdriver in it. How can I pry it apart? My fear is that the power cord male blade is going in beside it. I’ve messaged the company and no response. Thank you for any suggestions you might have.
I have a 4000 watt /30 amp generator. My friend has a 5th wheel camper with a 50 amp cord. I have seen adaptors from 30 to 50 amps. What kind of problems could arise if this were used, as long as a 30amp draw was not exceeded?

Can you take a closeup picture on the female outlet. Email it to me at mike@noshockzone.org and I’ll forward it to SW engineering.

Does this generator have a 3-prong (120-volt) or 4-prong (120/240-volt) outlet? Is it a twist-lock or blade connector?
