I'm currently at a state park campground in Michigan that has double 30 amp and a 20 amp. Shared with 2 sites.

Here in my area (Quebec) what I see once in a while is a single 30A receptacle and breakers are somewhere else in a box on the campground. Even had one occurrence in a freshly renovated sector of a provincial park. A pedestal with a 30A & a 15A receptacles. So far so good. But there was another box on the post with some relays, that made it so only one receptacle was usable at a time. Did connect my 30A cable and connected an extension on the 15A and as soon as I placed a load on the 15A the relay would operate and cut the power to the 30A receptacle and does the same in reverse order. 😡😡

Hello,

We will be camping in MT. at a site that states it is a shared pedestal. The site is 150' pull through. I called and was told a different story on the phone. We shall see!

thanks!

Gladly. I am still curious about the 2 30amp breakers being called a 50 amp rv. We have had issues with the electrical on the rv.

I’ve had licensed electricians misunderstand how split-phase 50-amp RV service really works.

Im at a campground that has double 50/30/20 but they are on opposite sides of a square pedestal. No confusion which breakers are yours.

I was at a campground with a 30 amp receptacle, but had a 50 amp breaker. Voltage at receptacle was 120. I used the 50 amp with dog bone to 30 amp and reported the box. Campground short cut!
