From my recent article on double 30-amp pedestals
Comment from Ralph B
I've never seen a pedestal with two 30 amp receptacles. - Ralph B
Comment from Jim
Campground pedestals that have two 30 amp receptacles separated by two 20 amp receptacles used to be quite common in area campgrounds near me where the pedestals were shared by two campsites - I can think of one really popular campground in our area that this was (or maybe still is if they haven't upgraded) the normal for the majority of their campsites that didn't have 50 amp receptacles, and some posts had double everything 2 50's 2 30's and sometimes even two 20's so that they could still be shared. I remember the fun of when some would just flip off all the breakers in the box as they were leaving because that turned off power to your unit also (I'm not always certain that was unintentional). - Jim
Everyone,
There’s all kinds of pedestals with outlet combinations that are code compliant. Take a look at some of these pedestals that don’t fit the normal 50/30/20-amp outlet configurations. Then answer the poll and add any comments.
Two 50-amp outlets plus a 30-amp and 20-amp outlet
Two 30-amp outlets plus a 20-amp outlet
Two 50/30/20-amp pedestals on a common pole
Please take the poll and leave your comments below about any other pedestal outlets you’ve seen…
Let’s play safe out there.. Mike
I'm currently at a state park campground in Michigan that has double 30 amp and a 20 amp. Shared with 2 sites.
