Same thing at my Lowes (North Texas). Nearly cried when I saw it, as a recent Reverend (and Retired Sailor) I immediately knelt down and prayed. We lost a few Sailors during my deployments 😔
Also noted that the Walmart across the street from that Lowes has a Missing Man/Fallen Comrade Table setup under their wall of Veteran workers' photos setup near the exit.
Memorial Day for Veterans and the families of service members who died in service seems to have lost significance in America. Perhaps people don’t understand the day. But I think most do. And, yesterday as I was thinking about two comrades killed by an IED in Afghanistan I was reminded by a car salesman, badgering me with text messages that the day is more about Memorial Day deals and sales for many, than it is about paying tribute to the fallen. I reminded him of the day and I’m sure he never served and still doesn’t care. Thank you Mike for sharing your thoughts. You get it.
Mike, thanks for sharing this. I probably wouldn’t have seen at the store as on Memorial Day I only go to these stores for an emergency purchase. My day starts about 5:30 when I head out to local cemetery to help VFW, AL and boy scouts place flags on grave sites of deceased veterans. Then head home for breakfast returning at noon for ceremony then about 6:30 in evening to retrieve the flags.

Very touching!
Must be something all the Lowe’s are doing. Very similar setup here in Texas. Good for Lowe’s.
Thanks for remembering and for reminding us Mike!
