50 amp receptacle is upside down,, guess that is why someone took the time to bend the guard out of the way

next question, how many people complained to themselves while plugging in but never mentioned it to the campground owner?

50 amp receptacle is mounted upside down. Ground needs to be on top.

120 outlets installed incorrectly (upside down).

Actually the 120-volt/20-amp outlet is oriented correctly with the ground at the top.

Why would they print letters on the outlet that are upside down when it’s installed correctly? 🤦🏼‍♀️

Because all RV shore power plugs have their ground pin located on the top, and you want the cord to hang down, not up. It’s an RV thing…

The 50 amp plug is upside down. Not sure about all that bent metal.

I’m pretty sure they bent the metal so the 50-amp cord could plug in with the cord coming out of the top. 🤣🤣🤣

Why is the 20 amp outlet GFCI?

Expand full comment
Mike Sokol's avatar

That’s a code requirement. All 15/20-amp outside, bathroom and kitchen outlets must be GFCI protected….

Yep, 50 amp upside down, initiating the hammer job on the divider. Never done it, but have seen this result. Makes plugging in, and maintaining the connection... interesting.
