I believe my video demonstration clearly shows that. I can hear an open-frame contractor generator from hundreds of yards away. They simply don’t belong in a campground or park.

Mike, is it possible to use one of the closed frame DC inverter generators to replace my on-board Onan genny? Like remove the Onan, put the dc generator in its place and wire it up to the transfer switch?

Contractor or any other open frame generator do NOT belong in campgrounds or anyplace else with fellow citizens and people who love the outdoors. And if you're sharing close space, I'd say the same for any generator when you have neighbors around. People love RVing to enjoy nature's sounds and beauty, do you think would they want to pitch a tent in them middle of a construction site?

This is one of my pet peaves. Its just so thoughtless and inconsiderate of others that it boggles my mind. I get it money's is tight, but consider it a cost of what you save not using full hookups.

I get it the is an electrical column, by its geared to the RV community. Please be loud and clear that loud generators are inappropriate and just about as welcome as a jackhammer by fellow campers.
