We have memories like this in our family that we keep alive by recalling them. Not only at Christmas but sometimes throughout the year. Paul Harvey had a gift that we all enjoyed for decades.
Wonderful to hear Paul Harvey's voice. I spent every summer with my grandparents in the 50's and most of the 60's which was before his "rest of the story" series began. Grandma would turn the radio on while fixing lunch and at noon we would listen to Paul Harvey News and his comments. Wonderful memories. This Little Light story reminded me of the huge role attitude plays in our lives. Thanks Mike.
I remember this. I don't need to hear the recording. I hear his voice clearly in my mind just reading the transcript. Merry Christmas from the Geeks On Tour.
I loved reading this as well and I can hear this voice inside my head. I actually ran the audio file through a text recognition program then checked it for accuracy. A fun “geek” exercise.
Also reminds me of the firehouse light bulb in Livermore, CA. Burning I believe since 1901!
I so looked forward to Paul Harvey news and rest of the story. Was hoping his son would keep it going but guess his was too hard of an act to follow.
