I would hope they make them more reliable than the 12v compressor refrigerators have been. I've heard those refrigerators (similar compressor technology I'm assuming) have a high failure rate and parts are all but impossible to obtain in a reasonable time-frame, and now of course the tariffs could potentially make them nearly unaffordable in comparison. Proof will be in the pudding as they say. ;)
Inverter variable speed air-conditioner compressors have been used in Europe for decades, and nearly as long in the US in residential mini-split air conditioners. I’ll look to see if there’s any data on reliability.
Sounds promising. I hope they are heads up to engineer them to easily mount into the existing holes in our rv roofs.
Mike, be sure to compare the CFM numbers. In extreme temps with poorly insulated RVs CFM is king IMHO. Especially in ducted systems.
