We made 2 forays into the tent while wearing masks .. we only saw a very few others with them on. I like the idea of the big Q show but was disappointed that in the tent most of the vendors were not solely RV oriented. It looked like a roundup of 'as seen on tv' schlock with a mix of beet harvest hiring and lux resort hawkers. No Lippert or suspension mod people inside, nor CampingWorld or Renology etc. The outdoor (mostly) market across the street was another story .. Lots of RV stuff .. I got a fantastic deal on a 7500k Maxxair vent fan (pun intended) and the whole thing was fun.
Back to the big tent .. How about the Ice Cream vendor .. Best deal west of the Mississippi!
Really enjoyed meeting you in person on Friday at Quartzsite and found your talk on RV electricity very informative. Thanks for using that extra time to answer questions. In your varied career, did you ever do stand up? You were great!
A little off your normal subjects. Currently we are camping at the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona for the race. This is a mixed race of 5 different classes, especially interesting is the grand touring prototype division that are running hybrid race cars. It’s definitely different to hear these cars braking for turn 1 that is the first turn off the oval onto the inner road track due to the regenerative braking going from close to 200 mph to about 60 mph. And also when they pull out from the pits it is all battery power so it’s quiet (got to experience that during the practice session) This is the first big test for the hybrids and so far the biggest issue they have had is a water bottle leak onto the CPU in one of the cars. Currently Cadillac is doing fantastic.
Actually, I was on the Seminar schedule board for my RVe Class on Friday at 3:00pm. Looks like I’m invited back to Quartzsite next year to do a 3-day RVelectricity Master Class.
Thanks for sharing your expertise with us, Mike! We enjoyed hanging out and swapping stories. -The ABC Upfitters crew
You’re most welcome. Yes, I had a great time hanging with your crew!

We are in Q. Sorry I missed you. I'll look for you next year!
Mike, we were just at Quartzite and didn’t see you. Sorry we missed you!

I never did stand-up, but I played on stage in rock bands hundreds (perhaps thousands) of times since I was 15 years old. 😁

Gosh Mike
Been coming to The Q for 20 + years. Been a fan of yours since you started writing for RV Travel…
Would love to have seen you at Quartzsite!
Why did you keep it a secret?
