Bravo Mike! I loved your drop analogy to Ohms law and the cartoon. I had not seen it before! I also like the application of Occam’s razor to teaching complex subjects which can be paraphrased as “The simplest explanation is usually the best one."
Here’s one way to show the difference between single phase and 3 phase power. Compare it to the different between a one cylinder and 3 cylinder (2 cycle) combustion engine.
Not a bad idea, but I want a visual desktop demonstration. Since I already built a desktop 3-phase signal generator, if I had a tiny 3-phase electric motor I could show how it responds to a lost phase, reversed phase rotation, and frequency changes. https://rvelectricity.substack.com/p/should-i-teach-you-3-phase-power

As usual, educational and entertaining….

This could work for a demonstration https://youtu.be/P-eTLmJC2cQ?si=ipe0tY4ebHogXlJ5
Hi Mike just thinking your approach is something like KISS! Usually works for me!
Thanks for the lesson

I have always said and used this: You can't properly diagnose a problem in a system until you understand what it does with it's working.
