Poll: How long should my webcasts be?
I have offers to do more live webcasts with several manufacturers. But should I limit the time?
Everyone,
Since my live-stream webcast with Chris Dougherty last week, I’ve had several manufacturers ask if they could be interviewed about their product technology. Note that these would not be “infomercials” like happens so often. We would be discussing technology and educating viewers on how RV electrical products actually work.
One Example
Here’s one of the first interview-style webcasts I did with Dennis Wieske from Progressive Dynamics several years ago. It had 500 of you watching the live stream, and dozens of online questions that pushed the webcast time beyond an hour. It then had thousands of views in the following weeks, and is still a great source of information about charging lithium batteries. You can rewatch it by clicking on the picture below or HERE.
But how long is too long?
While this type of tech-interview can easily go on for over an hour, I’ve had a number of readers say they liked shorter length webcasts. So I’m taking a poll on how long do you think my tech-interview webinars should be? Please take the poll and add your comments below.
And please leave your comments about any other topics or manufactures you would like me to interview.
Thanks for your help And let’s play safe out there… Mike
I voted 30 min. The interview itself should be about 30 min. Then another 30 min of Q & A.
An hour of information is long enough, by the end of the hour everything starts getting foggy as in to much information.
