And Klein makes a reasonably-priced meter that has a non-contact voltage tester built in. Great piece of kit!

We have a large camping lot on the river, and often get friends and family and new friends camping with us. I'm amazed how many don't have meters. I usually get asked to help with power issues and things that don't work, and the first thing I grab is my meter. I have given or sold cheap meters to these campers and shown them how to check voltage. Every RV'er needs one for sure.

I dropped my Fluke 87 on it’s face destroying it that I had for 30 years or more. So I thought I would try a Klein 800 multi meter with AC/DC volt and amps, resistance, NCVT, and thermocouple. It looked like something that hopefully would do everything in a little package. As soon as getting it home I set to testing it. Most everything worked great comparing it to my Simpson 260 and Fluke bench 8000A multimeter. The NCTV worked, thermocouple was accurate compared to my digital meat thermometer. The AC amps worked great compared to my ancient AC clamp on, however I could not get the DC amp meter to indicate anything under 1 amp while comparing it to 4 analog DC amp meters that use for my toy train layout. I returned it and then purchased a Fluke 362 that does everything except NCTV and thermocouple functions. The Fluke was spot on for all readings, too me Fluke is my go to choice for electrical meters even though they are more expensive.
