New Hearing Aid Function for Apple Pro 2 AirPods
An innovative AirPods software upgrade that will soon be available...
Everyone,
I’m interested in proper hearing protection since studying this with OSHA in the ‘70s. And many of my musician colleagues have suffered severe hearing loss from loud playing. While I’ve been an active musician and sound engineer for 50+ years, luckily I still have most of my hearing…
So when Apple recently announced that their newest AirPods Pro 2 ear buds will soon have the ability to be used as hearing aids it really got my interest. Now I have Gen 1 of the AirPods Pro and use them for music and phone calls, but I don’t have any significant hearing loss.
That’s why I’ve asked my guitar player of 45 years Karl to do a test. He has moderate hearing loss and all kinds of Apple products, but no AirPods ear buds as of yet. As soon as the hearing aid software is available he’s going to buy a pair of AirPods Pro 2 ear buds and give it a try. He’s already tried a number of hearing aids and hasn’t been happy with any of them. Fingers crossed!
Please take this poll and stay tuned for a review of how this technology works. At less than $250 AirPods Pro 2 ear buds could be an affordable alternative to more expensive hearing aids.
And as always, please leave your comments and questions below.
Let’s play safe out there… Mike
There needs to be another option in the poll. ..... I don't use Apple Products.
I don't use Apple because of their closed system.
