I would more likely buy another flat towable Maverick Lariat
Hybrid to tow. 500+ mile range and 37+ mpg. High 30 k vehicle. Seems more functional to me. Also enhanced safety and convenience feature set. If the maverick gets upgrade to plug in, it's would still clearly be a much more desirable Toad.
Thanks for the updated information. This is potentially very exciting. One issue I have not seen covered is battery type / life. In particular, I believe I read the battery chemistry is LFP , so no special cooling needed in regular use but LFE batteries do degrade faster with high charge rates. At medium or quick charging are the charge rates 1C, 2,c or higher? What is the est battery cycle life at just fast charge vs home (low C) charging?
Great questions. I do know that most fast charger times for EVs are listed for 80% or 90% SoC, and my ID.4 loaner warned not to fast charge above 90% of capacity. But Level-2 charging allowed it to reach 100%.

Fascinating possibility, quite intriguing. First question though, does that $20K AFTER INCENTIVE mean that the real price is $27,500?
Towable, yeah... that rig weighs a half-ton LESS than my Jeep. But no 4x4, deal breaker for me but not for most.
The actual price is $27,500, so the $7,500 federal incentive brings it down to $20,000.
