Can you comment on any issues with the F150 Onboard Power powering a TT?

I’ve already published an article on that. I’ll repost it tomorrow…

@Jim - I use this same dog-bone adapter to connect our RV to our F150 Powerboost (which has the PPOB 7200w generator built into the F150)...it works beautifully....and can power 2 AC units (simultaneously) without issue and a whole lot more. There is a 30 & 50 amp version available on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XXBF1G5

The only issue with the F-150 PowerBoost is the GFCI on the 30-Amp twist lock receptacle will trip if you try to power your house that has a G-N bond in the service panel. There’s a possible workaround that I haven’t tested yet.

Hi Mike, using my non-contact voltage tester yesterday I was amazed that it lit up and howled as I was walking through a room holding the unit at about shoulder height. (4' below ceiling). There were exposed live wires at the ceiling from a light fixture being replaced. Does this mean any danger was present just walking through the room?

Thanks, Bill Bateman

@mike - same plug I bought for my F150 Powerboost (ProPower On Board - 7200w gen)....while my coach has a 10kw Gen on it - the truck can serve as a back up (and very quiet) generator for the coach and other things!

The F-150 PowerBoost with the 7.2kW generator is a great backup solution. I wish Ford would loan me another one for more testing.
