Have you had a battery meltdown?

Everyone,
A reader just sent me this post from the NuCamp Owners group about a battery meltdown from a 2020 T@B Lite. I’m sending this info to my engineering contacts a WFCO and Progressive Dynamics for review and comments.

Hey Mike
Just saw this on FB, one person suggested the WFCO charger from that year T@B400 will overcharge the batteries if you just leave it hooked up to shore power all the time, causing the result you are seeing. He recommends unplugging from shore power and turning off the battery switch when not using the trailer.

I want to know your brand and model converter/charger, type and brand of batteries, plus length of storage time while plugged in or charging on solar. ..
Let’s play safe out there… Mike
Actually wasn't a meltdown as such, more like an explosion. Camper was stored off site and plugged in. The box and top of the battery had blown apart.
Why limit the survey to "during storage"?
The electrical circuits (converter/charger and batteries) do not know if the RV is in storage or being used by full-timers.
Does the old adage "a watched pot never boils" apply?
