Just in case, it would be prudent to first check the RV receptacle for the presence of 120 VAC before connecting a meter set on the Ohms scale. It is possible that someone could have an active inverter, generator, or other power source within their system that had been mis-wired. After all, shorts are quite rare and as likely to be caused by a user hook-up error as any other cause. Some of the people I end up helping out know almost nothing about electricity.
Thanks for the "Star Wars event" Thats really some great information! On your illustrations is there a way they all could be magnified, the only one today was the bore scope! It just would make it easier to view & figure out what your saying.
