I've found a 120-volt dim-bulb tester that's already built. Just needs a few adapter cables and it should work great for troubleshooting 120-volt AC circuits in RVs. Stay tuned!
We have an intermittent short in our RV taillights. It blows the 30a fuse in the truck at some point fairly quickly after we start driving. Maybe this will help me. Service departments always said “cannot replicate”.

Southwire 2105-0T discontinued.
Awesome instructive video. Looking for a short in a side by side right now. Do you have a link for the dc amp clamp so maybe you get credit?
Was having trouble finding a dc version amp clamp, would really like to find one with an amp “hook” like my good AC meter.
Does this require two lights? Why not just one!
The bulb on the right side of the diagram is your vehicle’s existing light bulb.
Got it, thanks!

Yes, that's exactly what a dim bulb test is good for...
