As promised, here’s a poll on campground power metering. I see a lot of waste at campgrounds with air conditioners running while windows and doors are hanging open, plus many large RVs now have 2 or 3 air conditioners.
So should campgrounds split off the electrical usage and charge you separately? Should separate electrical bills be only for extended stays? Any other fair ways to do this? Please take the poll below and add your comments.
Get ready for my Thursday 7pm EDT Zoom (JAM) Session
If you’re already a paid subscriber to this blog, expect a private note from me later this morning with a link to my live Zoom meeting tomorrow (Thursday) evening at 7pm eastern time. You’ll be able to ask me ANYTHING in real time, and I’ll do my best to answer your questions. I’ve planned for an hour-long Zoom JAM Session, but it can go for as long as you like.
This live Zoom meeting will be limited to the 190 paid subscribers on this blog. But even if you’re a free subscriber, don’t worry because I’ll repost the more interesting clips for everyone next week. And I’ll also repost the Zoom link tomorrow for any late subscribers.
So what happens when a Tesla or Ford Lightning pulls in with a trailer and wants to use the 50-amp pedestal outlet to charge the 125 kWh EV battery, plus the 30-amp outlet to power the trailer’s air conditioner and electric water heater? Should they be charged the same as everyone else?
How about everyone is given a daily kilowatt allocation and if you exceed that then you are charged for usage ? Didn’t see this as a poll option…
