Hey Mike,
I have a champion 4500-Watt Inverter generator for my 5th wheel trailer.
I use a ground to neutral bond plug in one of the 15 A outlets when connected to the trailer. Does this plug also bond the 30-Amp outlet that is connected to the trailer ?
Thanks - Randy T.
Hey Randy,
Yes it does…. Since all the grounds on a generator are tied together, and all the neutrals are tied together, then bonding one outlet bonds all of the outlets.

Let’s play safe out there… Mike
Mike, why do you think generators do not come equipped with a ground to neutral bonding switch? They could even label it to indicate that the unbounded position is for powering a home (or bonded load) and the bonded position powering an RV (or into fed load). Seems like that would make life easier for everyone. I also wonder if they could include sone smarts to check for a bond automatically and create a bond if it doesn’t sense one? I assume there is a reason this isn’t done and would like to hear what it is.
