Had a Thought. Local Power Company in Florida is offering to install and maintain an EV level 2 charging station in my garage for $37/Month. Sounds silly until you read a little deeper and find out that it includes UNLIMITED CHARGING FROM 9PM to 7AM!. Here is my thought. Buy a used EV battery. (or the whole EV) Put it in your garage and charge it at night. Buy a bug invertor and run your house on it all day. Presto! $37/month electric bill for life! I never use more that 50KWH/day and that's in July in Florida. My average usage is about 35KWH/day. What do you think Mike?

That’s an interesting idea that just might work as long as their contract allows it. Essentially you want a Powerwall battery and a 7kW to 12kW 120/240-volt inverter to power your house. You’re using off-peak electricity which is why they’re offering a great discount. Keep me apprised on what you find out.
