Mike! Is there anything about electricity you haven’t made a video on or written and nice instruction on?? You are truly amazing and I appreciate your reply.😊
Quick Question- non-technical 😊 i’m an 80 year old woman and live in hurricane land (panhandle of Florida) what do you think about getting a CarGenerator 1000 to recharge my Bluetti 2000P (which is gotten me through several hurricanes nicely 🙂
Yes, that’s a great idea. Here’s a video of me recharging a Jackery 1000 Pro using the CarGenerator 1000 on my Nissan truck. https://youtu.be/aVKMHvxuVZA
In shopping through Amazon for 12v DC fuses & breakers I found a number of various types. My question(s) are –
What are the differences between them all. There are ANL fuses, 2 prong blade fuses, various re-settable breakers and auto reset breakers.
Are different types better for different applications?
For example – setting up an RV 12v Solar array and battery system, where I need protections between:
* Solar panel --> Solar Controller
* Solar Controller --> Battery
* Battery --> Inverter
* Battery --> House 12v system
* Inverter --> House 120v AC system
I prefer to use surface mount resettable breakers, because I can also use them for switching. Some breakers imply they are for car audio systems, while others just specify an amp rating only. Or for some purposes should traditional blade type fuses be used?
I thought this would be a useful subject for you to write an article about.
Mile. I am replacing the transfer switch in our MH.
I’m good with everything except since therr are 2 breakers on my Onan 5.5kw gen, do I connect both those hot wires to the switch input for the generator?

Ps at my age, starting a car is so much easier than starting a gas generator L O L

Are they a pair of 20-amp breakers?
Forgot to tell you I am going to install a LPT50BRD switch.
Thank you.
The generator has double neutral wires as well, correct?
Yes
Yes, it looks like it.
It’s an Onan 5 BGE generator. The specs inficate 20.8 amps each.
Really appreciate the help.
John
I will check when I get home.
Thanks for your reply.
I enjoy reading your info.
