Wall of Confusion….
The B&W Tow & Stow is my favorite Adjustable Ball Mount for towing my utility trailers
Everyone,
Just like many (or even most) of you who tow a camper trailer, you probably have more than one trailer to tow. While I have a nice weight distribution hitch for my GeoPro camper trailer, it has less than a 900 lb tongue weight when loaded, so I’ll use a standard ball mount for moving it around my yard or the storage facility.
However, each of my trailers needs a different ball size and drop. For example, my GeoPro 19’ toyhauler needs a 2-5/16” ball with a several inches of rise, my 5 x 8 utility trailer needs a 2” ball with a few inches of drop, and my bass boat trailer needs a 1-7/8” ball with a lot of drop. Plus I sometimes borrow my neighbor’s 6 x 12 cargo trailer that needs a 2-5/16” hitch ball.
I actually had a bucket with half a dozen ball mounts with different size balls and drops. That’s not my Wall of Confusion picture above, but it almost could be!
Time for action!
Here’s two of my very different trailers…

So I decided to get an adjustable ball mount that would cover all three ball sizes and up to a 5” drop. After much research I found the B&W Tow & Stow that not only has all three hitch balls and does a variety of drops or lifts, it also let’s you store the ball underneath to keep you from banging your shins on the ball mount when walking by. No tools required.

It’s now my favorite (and only) ball mount
After 6 months of use in all kinds of conditions, it’s been great. You can select the ball size and drop without unlocking the hitch lock. If you want to flip it for an adjustable rise, you unlock it, pull the mount, and flip it over. Only takes a minute without tools.
And just a spritz of white lithium grease keeps the pins easy to pull for adjustment. Plus if you get a hitch lock, the entire mount is safe from being stolen. You can get it on Amazon HERE.
Let’s play (and tow) safely out there… Mike
