Everyone,
In yesterday’s newsletter I asked for suggestions as to possible leveling products for my GeoPro trailer. And you had a lot of great ideas. Thanks very much! Read it HERE.
One the Level…
Since my trailer tongue isn’t exactly perpendicular to the floor of my trailer, (at least 1/2 bubble off on my spirit level), it’s a pain to level the trailer front-to back. And it would be great to get the side-to-side level pretty close by pulling forwards or backwards a bit in the camping spot (especially in the woods where I prefer to camp). So you suggested the LevelMate Pro+, which looks very useful. I’m ordering one for a review.
The Leveling Kit
You overwhelmingly recommended Anderson levelers, and I see that they offer a full kit along with their EZ Blocks. Looks like a winner to me, so I’m ordering a kit to try.
Cheap Chocks That Work!
Back when I was doing live sound production we had wheel chocks for the trucks and trailers that looked very simiar to this one from Harbor Freight. So I’ll pick up a pair. I agree that the plastic ones break if you run over them, but these solid rubber ones look indestructible.
Yes, I have 2x10 wood planks as well. But I like the idea of cutting the ends at a 45 degree angle, so I’ll do that for easier use.
I’ll do a full review once I get all the pieces together!
Let’s play safe out there… Mike
I’ll investigate these chocks further. I like having a rope between them which saves once more trip around the trailer to pull them prior to leaving. https://a.co/d/ayxkDzk
On class A coaches, I highly recommend Level MatePro. It’s made in the USA…..some Chinese knockoffs are out there so beware….
