Most lightning strikes for FL happen in the Summer (Rainy) Season. Some of these storms can be quite lengthy. Summer in FL is usually extremely hot and humid. Unplugging (for most) means no AC. No AC in FL is extremely uncomfortable. So I guess the tradeoffs are to have the possibility of your RV frying, or sweltering. The former is a crapshoot and the latter is a sure thing.
