Happy 500th Publication!
This week marks my 500th SubStack Newsletter! That's a lotta writing....
Hey Everyone…
This week marks my 500th Newsletter/Article published here since November 2022. So I’m right on track with posting one every day. Some of my SubStack friends only publish once a week or a few times a month, but I have a lot to teach and I find writing technical articles very therapeutic.
Here’s the numbers!
This RVelectricity newsletter gets around 10,000 views per day, which is fantastic. There’s a huge variation in electrical backgrounds of my subscribers, from newbie campers who know nothing about electricity, up to substation design engineers, master electricians, and laboratory scientists. All I can say is WOW, thanks very much for reading and commenting.
And the paid subscriber base is constantly growing. Currently there are 12,201 total subscribers with 260 paid supporters. I appreciate each and every one of you, and I’ll never put important safety information behind a paywall. But as you know, I get ZERO support from the RV manufacturers themselves. But I know there are many RV builders and technicians who read my articles for the latest troubleshooting and system design info. And I have been teaching monthly training classes for RV technicians that are paid for by various camping groups such as PRVCA.
But every paid subscription helps me go more in depth since I can spend less time working on NDA projects I can’t talk about, and more time on developing open source information I’m free to distribute to everyone.
What can you do to help?
The most important thing would be for you to spread the word to all of your various social media and group platforms. While I can’t spend the time to actively watch each and every one, if you do see a post that’s up my alley, then please alert me and I’ll try to jump in.
And if you can afford a $5 per month or $50 per year paid subsciption, that would be fantastic. But if you can’t, that’s okay as well. Just pass this newsletter on to as many of your RVing friends as possible. My mission is to educate the entire RVing community with electrical knowledge.
Thanks for your support, and let’s play safe out there… Mike
Keep up the good work Mike! I hope you enjoy writing your articles as much as I enjoy reading them. I also love reading the comments and hearing other people’s thoughts and ideas!
Thank you so much Mike for sharing your expertise with us. I feel that you have already saved the lives of my daughter’s family, and myself on my own rig. Due to your No shock articals, I knew instantly what I needed to do first (unhook from pedestal), and the theory needed to troubleshoot the problem. $50 a year is not too much for most campers for this valuable and life saving advice. Thank again!!
