Do you have a Micro-Air WiFi Thermostat?
I'm thinking about doing a test on one. What do you think?
Everyone,
One of my recent posts prompted a response about using a smart thermostat to control heat and cooling. That’s a great idea, but there was no mention of what kind of smart thermostat would work in an RV.
The Micro-Air EasyTouch RV WiFi Thermostat
A few years ago Micro-Air asked me if I wanted to review their new Wi-Fi thermostat. But at the time I didn’t have an RV to install it in for testing, so I didn’t ask for a sample. But I was curious about the technology.
Just the Basics…
In short, this is a smart WiFi enabled thermostat that allows you to control your RV’s heating and cooling from anywhere with a smartphone App. It should be really useful for pet owners who need to monitor the temp inside of their RV while away from the campsite. Read more about it HERE.
Do you already have one?
If you already have a Micro-Air EasyTouch Thermostat how does it work for you? Of if you’re planning to install one soon let me know.
Should I test it?
I already have months of testing scheduled in my FunkWorks Lab this year, but if you think it’s important I’ll ask for a sample unit for my GeoPro Toyhauler and do an install and test video this spring. Would that be of interest to you all? Please leave your comments below.
Let’s play safe out there… Mike
Definitely do! What I currently have (Dometic) is not dependable or accurate.
I would be interested in seeing this unit tested. I’m not all that crazy about the Dometic thermostat current installed in my fifth by wheel.
