Airstream Rally in Rock Springs Wyoming
Two RVelectricity seminars down and one more to go today…
The Sweetwater Sports Complex in Rock Springs Wyoming is a great place to hold an RV Rally, but there’s a lot of buildings and it’s a long walk around the place. They tell me there’s 1500 Airstream units here with over 2,500 attendees, which is a lot of Airstreams and Airstreamers!
Under the big tent!
My first seminar yesterday covered campground pedestal hookups and surge protectors, and the second seminar was on generators and batteries. My third and final seminar today will discuss hot-skin voltage detection and prevention.
What have I learned?
Airstream RVs seem to be a 50/50 mix of 30 and 50-amp shore power. And a large percentage of Airstreamers are interested in boondocking, so more info on solar power and Lithium battery upgrades is wanted. Plus everyone seems to be interested in better air conditioning solutions.
Lots of great questions
Yes, they brought their notes and asked dozens of questions after each session, which I really enjoy answering.
And everyone liked my free giveaways from CarGenerator, SoftStartRV, SmartPlug and Southwire, so I’ll try to include them at my upcoming seminars at FROG and Hershey.
One more to go
I’ll be wandering around the rally this afternoon after my 10:30 seminar, so please say hello if you see me. And if you attended either of my classes yesterday or today, please leave a comment below.
Let’s play safe out there… Mike
Mike, Great webinars and information. With the abundance of “stuff” being shared and perpetuated it was refreshing to hear from someone who has hands on experience with electronics issues! Looking forward to charging, Lithium and solar applications. Safe travels, and keep the “current” where it belongs!
